New Zealand Swamp Harriers filmed using a new blind.
I had been looking at this blind for some time, but couldn’t afford it due to lack of work. I finally picked up a bit of work so I thought this is the time.
We had a power outage on Friday so it was the optimum time to test it out and it didn’t disappoint.
A butcher friend of mine supplies me with meat offcuts which I feed the Swamp Harriers with, it helps to keep them off the roads where they get hit by cars and it allows me to know where they will land so I can film them. The birds can reach about a meter across and are New Zealand’s largest bird of prey.
