Gear head

I’ve always been a bit of a gear head, I love to geek out on new gear, but most importantly try out new ideas with said new gear.

I had seen some YT content talking about the Laowa 24mm probe lens and figured this would be something I would definitely want to play with, even though I’m not really a macro kind of guy.

What appealed to me about this lens was it was macro but wide angle, the look of the images somehow reminded me of Martin Parrs work (R.I.P.) but I wanted to use it for nature instead.

I managed to borrow the lens for an extended timeframe and so far I have been really happy with some of the stuff I’ve managed to get.

I won’t post everything here because a lot of what I’ve shot will be part of a new film I’m currently shooting and I don’t want to spoil it, but I do love the look the lens, it’s a fun addition to my arsenal and if and when I ever have the funds I intend to buy one.
